History behind Verly's Gaming Life

Verly's Gaming Life started out as a gaming blog on Tumblr where I shared screenshots of the various games I was playing. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fables 3, SWTOR (I don't play anymore but at one time I was a dedicated player with a huge dynasty. lol), Saint's Row. you name it I played it and shared screenshots.  You can still search for any of those old posts on my Tumblr if you wish.

Around this time last year (and sure enough, my last vlog is dated March 8th of last year), I decided to start a YouTube Let'sPlay channel. It quickly fizzled out due to my social anxiety getting the better of me and I just never felt like uploading again.  (I have GED (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), PDD (Persistent Depressive Disorder) and Agoraphobia.) that "ball of suck" as I like to call it can pretty much keep me in my bedroom not really speaking to people (online or off) for a long time if I don't watch myself.   Luckily enough, I am now back to seeing a dedicated counselor and also a psychologist so I am getting the help I need.

now that I’m feeling much better I’ve decided it’s time to revamp the whole thing, buy https://www.verlysgaminglife.com outright and have the blog and the channel going to keep me motivated. (and play games).   the website itself sits on Blogger but it’s linked to Tumblr, as well as my Facebook page and YouTube.

Penny Shepard is my "canon" for Mass Effect.  I have played the trilogy many, many times and have 8 Shepards all together, but Penny is the most important to me. When I thought about making a YouTube channel I knew there was no other story I wanted to tell. As anyone who has played Mass Effect knows it is a sci-fi game that takes place several years in the future after humans found a link to fast travel and discovered pretty much a new world view-that alien life was indeed real and most of them were already around before humans were being formed. the game is about a new alien threat that may cause the distinction of everyone. Penny may be the only one that can stop it. Why? because she's the hero, duh. I have installed MEUITM and if you play the original Mass Effect I think it's a must-have mod.

Tuesday-Let’splay- Penny Shepard-Blog Post

Not much happened in today’s upload. Penny, Kaden, and Jenkin’s headed off to investigate on Eden Prime.   They didn’t get far when things started looking weird.  Jenkin’s get’s sent in and ...oops...down goes Jenkins....looks like all those powers and skill points still did him no good. sorry, dude.  After Jenkin’s sad demise Penny and Kaden explored further ahead and met up with Ashley Williams who was in the middle of a firefight. After a quick Q&A Ash joins Penny and Kaden with exploring the rest of the Planet.  That’s all for today.   oh, I couldn’t quite spit it out on the vid, but what I was trying to say is that I always equip Ash with her Boomstick. (as her name is a reference to Evil Dead’s Ash. :) )   I was also trying to say that I like playing engineer because later on in the series I love all the extra gadgets they get. with the turrets and shields, it’s like having extra squad members....
